Jamie Carragher: Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is wrong about this Burnley 1-1 Chelsea: 10 key statistics from the match

JAMIE CARRAGHER has dismissed Chelsea boss Antonio Conte's claim that any of top six can win the Premier League.

Chelsea went 10 points clear at the top of the Premier League after being held to a 1-1 draw by Burnley at Turf Moor on Sunday.

After the match, Conte insisted the race for the title was not over, with the gap between second and sixth just two points.

Tottenham sit in second and are just two points ahead of sixth place Manchester United.

Arsenal, Liverpool and United all won over the weekend to give themselves some hope of re-entering the title race, although they require Chelsea to slip up to do so.

And Manchester City can begin the fightback by cutting the lead to eight if they beat Bournemouth tonight.

But when asked if the Chelsea boss was right about his, Carragher disagreed with him.

He said on Sky Sports: "No, and I don't think (Conte) agrees with it. It's something that a manager at the top of the table says.

"To maybe try and take pressure off himself and to look too cocky that they have a massive lead at the top.

"He knows that if they lose that questions will be thrown at him and his team for throwing the league away, rather than a great run by another team. The lead they have at the moment, it's going to have to be some run.

"You're going to have to win every game, one of the other four or five teams there.

"I just don't see that happening because one they have games against each other so points will be dropped then and with Europe, Chelsea don't have that commitment."

The Premier League takes a break this weekend with FA Cup fifth round ties being played.

It means the top six will not reconvene until the end of February and even then, both Arsenal and City have their games postponed as respective opponents Southampton and United compete in the EFL Cup final that weekend.
