The Blues have come under fire for playing pragmatic football despite wrapping up the title with three games to go.
They go into tonight's clash the Baggies under no pressure but former Arsenal star Merson believes they will see the job out professionally.
The SkySports pundit also says their rivals need to step up to compete.
"I see Chelsea winning this game comfortably, having too much class for West Brom, and ending their season on a high," he told SkySports.
"They have received a lot of unfair criticism in recent weeks about their style of play and being boring, but they have just had that great knack of being able to win games when not playing that well, unlike many of their rivals."
