Roy Keane challenges Theo Walcott and Arsenal to produce when the 'cold nights' come

Theo Walcott has been warned to relax by Roy Keane after grabbing a brace in Arsenal 's superb win over Basel in the Champions League.

The Gunners' speedster has now scored five goals and added an assist in seven matches in all competitions this season to earn a surprise first-team spot.

But Manchester United midfielder, commenting on ITV's Champions League highlights show, refused to be carried away by Walcott and the Gunners' excellent form, pointing to tougher, colder nights ahead.

"It’s took him a while to get settled," pointed out Keane. "Listen he’s had a good week. The guy needs to relax. Try to play well for the next seven or eight months.

"Tonight was a lovely game for Arsenal. When they’re in that form and have that amount of possession, they’re great to watch – they could’ve seven, eight, nine goals easily.

"But the crunch games are still to come for them, when the cold nights come in, with half the Arsenal players with their gloves on, so I wouldn’t be getting carried away with Walcott."
