The Arsenal home shirt is one of the most iconic in British __football - unless you support Rotherham United, that is.
The red shirt with the white sleeves has been donned on plenty of memorable Gunners occasions down the years, but when they unable to wear it in the Champions League clash with Basel on Wednesday night, everyone got confused.
The reason for the change was a fairly mundane one.
Given that Basel only have two strips - a red and blue home one and a white away one - it was deemed that both clashed with the Gunners' preferred home choice.
So Arsenal said they'd switch to yellow, and that confused everyone.
Where is the red in the Basel kit?. their badge is the reason arsenal are wearing the away kit? smh

Trying to figure out how UEFA thought Arsenal's red home kit would clash with Basel's all white kit. #AFCvBAS #UCL pic.twitter.com/zecDP9vCES

Trying to pay attention and ignore being a bit cross we're not in red. Why again are we not in home kit? #AFCvBAS @Arsenal

Arsenal deserve instant banishment and disqualification for playing in their away kit. No excuses
