Amid the celebrations and praise of Arsene Wenger reaching his twentieth year in charge of Arsenal, The Gunners boss seemed far more focussed on the next game.

“I think what I’ve learned in my job is to focus on the next game is the most important.” Wenger told the press. Arsenal play Burnley on Sunday and the Frenchman gave an update on the team news for the fixture.

“Giroud will be out,” the Gunners chief confirmed. “He will not come back and Coquelin is looking much better than expected.” We broke the news earlier that Francis Coquelin is set to return way ahead of schedule. The Frenchman is already back in training and Wenger had more good news on the injury front.

Aaron Ramsey hasn’t played since the opening match of the season against Liverpool. The Welshman limped off the Emirates pitch and is yet to return to action. It was confirmed yesterday that he has not been called up to the Wales squad to play the World Cup qualifiers against Austria and Georgia but Wenger said Ramey should be available after the international break.

So it’s good news on the injury front. Arsenal have a strong squad for Sunday’s match and should be boosted by the returns of Aaron Ramsey, Francis Coquelin and Olivier Giroud for the match against Swansea in two weeks. The Gunners will then only have long-term layoffs Per Mertesacker and Danny Welbeck to come back into the fold.
