Yaya Toure agent set to hold Man City talks; claims of several transfer offers

ESPN FC's Brian McBride, Alejandro Moreno and Alexis Nunes weigh in on the transfer rumours surrounding Yaya Toure.
Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini refused to respond to criticism from Yaya Toure's agent after the club's 2-0 Premier League win over West Ham on Sunday.

Yaya Toure's agent has told  he will speak to Manchester City about the midfielder's future, but says it is "no problem" if the Premier League champions do not want to keep him with "different offers" already on the table.

Toure, who turns 32 next month, has struggled to replicate the form of previous impressive seasons for City, with Manuel Pellegrini's title holders lying 12 points behind league leaders Chelsea having played a game more.

The Ivory Coast international's future has been the subject of speculation since last summer, when Toure and agent Dimitry Seluk said .

Seluk said in February that Toure wanted to stay at the Etihad Stadium "for life," but the agent that Pellegrini is a "weak manager" and that the club's executives have been "trying to blame Yaya for what has happened this season."

Toure has since that he "loves playing for City," but has also called with both sides reportedly interested in him.

Seluk confirmed on Wednesday that other clubs are keen on securing a deal for Toure, saying: "We have had different offers for Yaya but we must speak to Manchester City. People think he will stay because of money but we don't care about money.

Yaya Toure has been at odds with City over the 2014-15 campaign, with a number of off-field issues taking the limelight.

"If Man City don't want him -- no problem. I want someone to say that they want Yaya to stay at Manchester City. Yaya is a legend at the club. All the supporters like him, he's helped them make history."

Toure said he has been affected by criticism of his form this season, but appeared to put the blame on the media rather than the club.

Asked earlier in the week if he had been hurt by the comments, he told MEN: "Yes, a lot. People want you to progress more, and in the media sometimes it's difficult.

"We will continue to fight as the fans are great with us and especially to me. I hope to show my commitment and show my respect to those fans who support me a lot in my years here. I will continue to fight to the end and I love playing for Man City."
