LUCAS PEREZ took part in Arsenal's final training session before their FA Cup third round clash Preston.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger had made the Spaniard a doubt for Saturday's fixture after reporting he had suffered an ankle injury.

But the summer signing from Deportivo La Coruna was able to join his team-mates at London Colney.

Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil, Petr Cech, Laurent Koscielny and Theo Walcott were the big name absentees with Wenger ruling them all out of the match.

It was a youthful looking set of players who trained hinting at several changes to Arsenal's starting XI.

Danny Welbeck is in line to make his first appearance since May

Youngsters Chris Willock, Josh Dasilva, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Jeff Reine-Adelide and Reiss Nelson were all involved and could be in line to play on Saturday.

Arsenal legend Robert Pires was also at training, smiling alongside defender Shkodran Musfafi.
