The Gunners got off to a flyer at Emirates in their penultimate Champions League Group Stage fixture against Marseille, with Jack Wilshere netting within 30 seconds. He then managed his first ever brace when scoring yet another fantastically worked team goal later on.
Arsene Wenger’s side dominated possession, they enjoyed a whopping 67% of the ball and completed 90% of their passes, not a bad feat at all. But the Gunners were made to work for it with Mathieu Flamini and Aaron Ramsey running over 12km’s each, and the defence earning another clean sheet.
Another win under the belt will do the squad a load of good and build upon their already growing confidence. Next up is a tricky fixture against Cardiff City, however a commanding showing like last night will certainly do the job.
