PAUL MERSON is expecting Southampton to cause Arsenal problems when they go head-to-head in the FA Cup tomorrow (5.30pm).
Southampton narrowly beat Norwich at home in their third round replay clash and followed it up with a Premier League win over champions Leicester and saw off Liverpool to reach the EFL Cup final.
While Arsenal, who are unbeaten in January, had to come from behind to beat Championship side Preston to progress to the FA Cup fourth round.
And Merson believes Southampton's confidence after beating Liverpool in midweek will be enough to earn a fourth-round replay at the Emirates.
The former Gunners striker is predicting a 1-1 draw at St Mary's in tomorrow's late kick-off.
A replay is the last thing Arsene Wenger's side need as their Champions League campaign resumes next month against Bayern Munich.

Merson told Sky Sports: "Southampton will be confident after their phenomenal result in the EFL Cup semi-final.
"They're already at Wembley and I see them causing Arsenal problems. With that in mind, I see this one going to a replay, a replay Arsenal will not want."
