A disappointing end to a disappointing game nevertheless qualification for the Knock Out Stages has been assured, albeit as runners up of the ‘Group of Death’.
The Gunners fell 2-0 thanks to a fine second half performance from Napoli but the result wasn’t enough for the Italian side due to Dortmund’s late winner against Marseille, meaning the Bundesliga outfit top the group. Three teams ended on top with 12 points, very unusual and frustrating for Arsene Wenger’s men.
Regardless, we’ve qualified. But now could face either Real Madrid, PSG, Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid or Barcelona. Joy.
Thoughts now turn to the weekend’s match up with Manchester City, time to get ourselves back on track.
