Jack Wilshere promises to be back to his Arsenal best soon

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere’s time with the Gunners has been sadly overshadowed by injuries, but the 23-year-old is nearing a comeback, and has assured us fans that he will soon be at his best.

According to the , the England international has received confirmation from a specialist that his persistent troubles with an ankle injury is not down to an underlying permanent problem, and rather just the result of a series of late challenges.

The news is the latest positive to come out of the Emirates recently. Our eight-match winning run has made us Chelsea’s closest challengers, and we have an FA Cup semi-final to look forward to in the near future. To have the midfielder available for the run-in is a massive boost.

Wilshere has not played for us since November when he limped out of the home game against Manchester United, and speculation had arisen that he may not appear in a Gunners shirt again.

The had reported earlier in the month that Manchester City would make a summer bid for the player…

However, the Mirror suggests that he would rather sign a new contract at Arsenal, having been with the club since he was ten.
