Jack Wilshere could be set for a massive contract extension at Arsenal, with Arsene Wenger keen to tie the alleged Manchester City target down to a new long term deal, according to .
The 23-year-old has recently been linked with a surprise move to Manchester City, with The Telegraph reporting that the reigning Premier League champions are looking to bolster their English contingent.
Arsene Wenger is set to issue a hands-off warning in a press conference this Thursday however, as the Frenchman still sees Wilshere as an integral part of the club.
Wilshere has spent large parts of the season sidelined with injury yet again, but Wenger is still keeping faith with the young England international. The Telegraph even go so far as to suggest that he is set to be offered a massive new deal, with the midfielder potentially set to earn £150,000 per week if he extends until 2020.
His current contract isn’t set to expire until 2018, but Wenger still believes he could be the future of both Arsenal and England’s midfield.
Wilshere is Arsenal through and through, and it’s hard to see him even considering an Emirates exit. It looks as though Manchester City will have to turn their attentions elsewhere this summer, as Wilshere appears to be going nowhere.
