Borussia Dortmund centre-back Neven Subotic says he can see himself playing in the Premier League one day.
Subotic, 26, is slowly returning to his best form following a difficult period after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament tear and has become a permanent fixture in Dortmund's starting lineup once again.
He has started in all of the club's last seven league games, which saw them pick up 17 points and only concede six goals, while keeping three clean sheets.
Ahead of the Bayern Munich match on Saturday, Subotic, who joined Dortmund from Mainz alongside coach Jurgen Klopp in 2008, refused to discuss his BVB future, although he did not rule out a move to the Premier League.
"First of all, I plan my summer vacation and the Ethiopia trip with my in June. I don't know what happens after that," he told kicker.
Dortmund have said in the past they want to avoid allowing players to leave on a free transfer -- having lost Robert Lewandowski to Bayern -- and with Subotic about to enter the final year of his contract, they may choose to cash in on him soon if they do not offer him a new deal.
"Those are things I don't to talk about in public," Subotic said when asked whether he and his representatives are in contract negotiations with Dortmund.
Last month, , and when speaking to kicker, the centre-back outlined his admiration for English football.
"I can still imagine playing in a league someday which rates physical football," he said. "The game in England is tougher, more aggressive and more physical -- in a sportsmanlike sense. As a centre-back I don't always want to fear just touching an opponent.
"How can I do my work when my opponent starts crying without contact? And those penalties after dives annoy me, I think that's cheating. I just don't like it when an attacker is going at what feels like one kilometre an hour and flies like he's been hit by a car."
