Mauro Icardi joined Inter Milan from Sampdoria in 2013.

Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi has he will only leave the club if they feel compelled to accept an offer for him in the summer.

with a move for Icardi, who joined Inter from Sampdoria in 2013 after only one full season in Italy's top fight.

However, the 22-year-old says his agents are hard at work negotiating a new contract with the Serie A club, who he insists he is happy playing for.

"If Manchester United or Chelsea, or I don't know who else want me then these are things they have to discuss with Inter," Icardi said.

"If Inter decide to sell me, I'll pack my bags and go. If not, I'll stay here in Milan where I am honestly very happy. My family is very much at home here in Milan."

Icardi is not currently one of Inter's biggest earners, but he says that is about to change and he will soon be rewarded for the progress he has made since arriving at the club.

He joined the for €12 million, but is now reportedly valued at twice that amount and he feels his wages should reflect that.

"Regarding my pay, my salary, that I don't 'earn a lot,' these are things that are a result of two years ago when I came to Inter," Icardi said. "To me, it was a good contract for having arrived at Inter. I signed the contract with the excitement and desire to prove my worth and be an important player for Inter.

"Now, after two years, I still have this contract that people are talking about, but my agents are speaking to the club, they're coming to an agreement, they're seeing how to fix this situation. And when it happens, I'll sign the renewal and -- I'm sure -- I'll be happy and Inter will be happy if they want me to stay here."
