Hamburg playmaker Rafael van der Vaart has said he intends to end his career at Spanish club Cadiz.
Van der Vaart, 32, revealed last week he amid interest from Sporting Kansas City.
The Dutchman, whose current contract in the Bundesliga expires in the summer, was born in the Netherlands but his mother is a native of the Spanish town Chiclana de la Frontera, which is in Cadiz.

Van der Vaart also spent a number of summers there with his grandfather, who he promised he would one day play for Cadiz CF.
"I agreed with my grandfather that I will finish [my career] at Cadiz," Van der Vaart told the Dutch publication The Post Online, in quotes reported by AS.
Van der Vaart re-signed for Hamburg from Tottenham in 2012, having left the German side for Real Madrid in 2008.
