ARSENAL should break their wage structure to keep Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez at the club, according to David Seaman.

Both Ozil and Sanchez will be out of contract at Arsenal in 2018.

Arsene Wenger is eager to hand the duo new deals soon having witnessed previous star players including Samir Nasri and Robin van Persie move on rather than agree new terms.

Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has been showing off his Champions League match ball after netting his first senior hat-trick against Ludogorets last night

And Seaman, who won two doubles in over a decade with the Gunners, believes Wenger should break the bank to keep Ozil and Sanchez.

When asked if Arsenal should break their wage structure to keep the pair, Seaman said: "They will have to.

“These two are quality players so you give them what they deserve. If that's the top wages at Arsenal then so be it.

“You've got to make sure that the players that influence the team the most are the players that get paid the most."
