There are certain rites of passage that you need to go through before you become an official Arsenal player.
There are all the obligatory selfies that you need to pose for both pre and post-match, and the subsequent Instagram, Twitter and Facebook uploads.
Then there is a sometimes maddening inability to shoot from anywhere other than about six yards from goal, which Granit Xhaka has somewhat controversially opted to ignore this season.
And then, of course, there is getting injured for long periods of time.
Which is why Gooners are now welcoming summer signing Lucas Perez to the Arsenal family even though he joined in the summer.
As seen in the video above, the Spanish forward has been ruled out for 6-8 weeks by manager Arsene Wenger after picking up an injury in the EFL Cup win over Reading in midweek.
And the news that the ex-Deportivo man is facing a spell on the sidelines was all over Twitter:
Lucas Perez out injured until December which is a real blow, welcome to Arsenal Lucas you are officially a Gooner. #AFC

We expect to see him holding up a scarf and his new shirt any time soon.
Oh look, there he is.
