Arsenal Keeping Tabs On Middlesbrough Youngster

Arsenal are monitoring the situation of Middlesbrough youngster Harry Chapman. The 18-year-old winger is yet to play for the ‘Boro first team but is currently impressing for Sheffield United, where he is on loan for the season.

Arsenal and young talented players seem to go hand-in-hand and this story is no different. The Mirror reports that Arsenal are looking into the possibility of signing the Middlesbrough youngster, Harry Chapman.

The 18-year-old has represented England at both Under-18 and Under-20 levels and impressed last season during a loan spell at Barnsley, helping the club win promotion to the Championship.

Chapman is a pacy, skilful winger who is able to score goals and is rated by some as one of the best young English talents in his position. Middlesbrough will undoubtedly wish to hold onto their star man but Arsenal are interested regardless.

The winger is currently at Sheffield United and despite not making a league start for the club yet, is impressing from the bench and has one goal to his name already.

Harry Chapman is hardly a household name but it’s good to know that Arsene Wenger and Arsenal are still tracking the best young players in the country. Despite the big money signings in recent years and the current success on the pitch, it’s important that the club continues to stick with its policy of developing young players and Harry Chapman would add to a growing core of young British players at the Emirates.
