Atletico Madrid Join Chase For Arsenal Ace

Atletico Madrid have reportedly joined the race to sign Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla who is out of contract at the end of the season and yet agree an extension to his deal.

Earlier this week we brought you news that Juventus had started talks with Cazorla over a summer move as they seek to strengthen their midfield and value his quality and Champions League experience.

The Italian champions now look to be joined by Atletico Madrid while Valencia and Sevilla are also keen on the 31-year-old, according to Fichajes.

The report claims Diego Simeone’s side, who are currently top of La Liga, want Cazorla, who could be tempted by the thought of playing for a club capable of lifting trophies and challenging Real Madrid and Barcelona for honours.

Sevilla, meanwhile, are believed to have been looking for a midfielder for some time and view Cazorla as the perfect player who has plenty of experience and knows the Spanish league well.

Joining them are Valencia who are keen to improve their squad and get back on track after a turbulent few seasons.

Cazorla has been a virtual ever present for Arsenal this season, scoring twice and has recently admitted he is happy at the club and wants to stay.

However, news of interest from abroad, particularly from such clubs as Juventus and Atletico Madrid is bound to alarm fans who would hate to see him walk away from the club for free at the end of the season.

Cazorla remains a key part of the Arsenal squad and fans must be hoping that the club try to secure his future as soon as possible and end speculation surrounding his future.
