Laurent Koscielny thankful for Arsene Wenger's faith - and pledges to pay him back

Laurent Koscielny has lavished praise on Arsene Wenger - and pledged to pay the Arsenal boss back for taking a chance on him.

The French international joined from Lorient in 2010 and has gone to establish himself as one of the Premier League's most classy and consistent defenders.

Koscielny, who netted a controversial late winner against Burnley at the weekend, is grateful for everything his boss has done for him in the six years since his move.

"He was the man who gave me the chance to move to a big club", he told Goal .

“He took the risk of buying me in a small club, and make me grow as a player and man.

"He managed his best I think I try to prove that he was right to trust me."

"I want to give him back that, but I'm not the only example, there have been many. He did a great job during his years at Arsenal.”
