Arsene Wenger has decisions to make in JanuaryWhat do they need?
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has always been reluctant to spend in January.
But he has done before in the first month of the year, signing the likes of Jose Antonio Reyes, Theo Walcott, Emmanuel Adebayor, Andrei Arshavin, Nacho Monreal and Mohamed Elneny.
Monreal is probably the most successful in terms of value for money and impact but Reyes was an important member of the Invincibles team before returning to Spain.
Wenger has talked highly of his current squad but defeats to Everton and Manchester City have left many questioning the true quality of the team.

Arsenal already have big squad so if additions are made it is likely to be because a fringe player leaves for first-team football.
Wenger may also be looking at his goalkeeping situation with Petr Cech getting older, David Ospina pushing for a starting place and Emiliano Martinez on the sidelines waiting for a chance.
Long-term, Wenger needs to be looking at how to replace Santi Cazorla if the Spaniard is going to be hampered by his Achilles problem.
How much can they spend?
Arsenal have plenty of money in bank so if Wenger wanted a player worth £50m it can be done.
But should the Frenchman be given the money to spend when it's not clear whether he will be at the Emirates next season?

Who might they sign?
Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford is one of the freshest names to be linked with a move to the Emirates.
The Englishman has single-handedly kept the Black Cats in matches with fine saves and would be an excellent addition looking towards the future.
Other names linked include Dimitri Payet but at 29-years-old and West Ham's determination to keep their star man, it would be a major shock if Wenger pursued that transfer in January.
Wenger has been a long term admirer of German playmaker Julian Draxler. But he has missed out on signing him as he will be joining Paris Saint Germain for around £40m.

A right-back would be needed if Mathieu Debuchy and Carl Jenkinson depart. Debuchy is injured but could be allowed to leave while Jenkinson failed to convince as cover for Hector Bellerin meaning his long-term future is in doubt.
Rob Holding and Chuba Akpom have been linked with moves away to the Championship to get more minutes.
And it may be productive for the likes of Gedion Zelalem, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Chris Willock and Krystian Bielik to leave on loan to gain experience.
