Wenger To Make Five Big Changes – FC Basel v Arsenal [Predicted Lineup]

Arsenal take on FC Basel this evening with an outside chance of finishing top of Group A in the Champions League. The Gunners need to better PSG’s result against Ludogorets in order to finish first but few expect that to happen.

Here’s how we think Arsenal will line up:

GK) David Ospina

The Colombian is Arsenal’s Champions League goalkeeper and will return between the sticks this evening. David Ospina is part of a defence which hasn’t kept a clean sheet in a European away match and will be hoping to turn that around this evening.

RB) Carl Jenkinson

Carl Jenkinson didn’t put in the best performance of his career against Southampton last week and was replaced by Gabriel Paulista at right-back against West Ham. We expect the Englishman to come back into the side this evening.

CB) Laurent Koscielny

The Frenchman should keep his place at the back. Arsenal’s vice-captain has been excellent for the majority of this season and will be looking for more of the same this evening.

CB) Shkodran Mustafi

The Gunners haven’t actually kept a clean sheet in eight matches and will desperately want to set that right this evening. Shkodran Mustafi should start from the off and hope to change that.

LB) Kieran Gibbs

We expect Kieran Gibbs to come in for Nacho Monreal at left-back. The Englishman featured in the last round of European fixtures and with the Christmas period around the corner, it’s important that Arsene Wenger uses his whole squad.
