It’s one of Arsenal’s biggest matches of the season so far and a win against Manchester City on Sunday will go some way to helping the Gunners move past the match in midweek. The loss to Everton gave Chelsea a chance to go six points clear at the top of the Premier League which they promptly took. Arsenal can’t afford another slip-up over the busy Christmas period and that starts at the Etihad on the weekend.

Arsene Wenger held his regular pre-match press conference this morning and gave the lowdown on the latest team news.

“For the City game we should have approximately the same squad who went to Everton,” Wenger confirmed.

“Nobody’s back – Ramsey’s not back. He is the closest to coming back and we have some knocks and bruises but they should all be available again.”

The Ramsey news is disappointing. The Welshman has struggled with injury problems all season but this newest issue seems to have come out of nowhere. He’ll miss the game against City but Wenger is confident he’ll return after that.

“Next week I believe he [Ramsey] should be back in the squad in normal training,” Wenger went on.

So it seems that Arsenal will travel to Manchester with a nearly identical squad to the one which went down at Everton in midweek. Arsene Wenger will be looking for a big response from some players in order to stay in touch of Chelsea.
