Sanchez Offered £400,000-Per-Week To Leave Arsenal

Alexis Sanchez has been offered a huge deal worth £400,000-per-week to leave Arsenal and move to the Chinese Super League, according to The Mirror.

The report claims the Chilean has numerous offers from the Far East which is complicating contract negotiations with the Gunners.

The 27-year-old’s current deal expires in the summer of 2018 and Arsenal fear Sanchez will use the huge offers as a bargaining tool in his current talks.

Arsene Wenger’s side are unable to compete with wages of £400,000-per-week and are starting to fear their talisman may not chose to extend his deal.

Sanchez is Arsenal’s top earner at present on reported wages of £130,000-per-week but could now drive a hard bargain, particularly as the report claims Ezequiel Lavezzi earns £350,000-a-week after making the move to China in February.

Manchester City and Juventus continue to be linked with the Chile international, although Pep Guardiola moved to distance himself from such claims earlier this week insisting reports he had called Sanchez to discuss a move were false.

Wenger himself has also discussed the current contract standoff, insisting negotiations were continuing but also admitting it may take more than just money to convince Sanchez his future lies in north London.

Sanchez’s form this season, he has 13 goals already this campaign, has simply proven how vital he is to the club’s hopes of success this year and the growing speculation over his future is bound to concern fans.

The 27-year-old seems to be at the peak of his powers currently, suggesting a move to China is unlikely, but should he fail to extend his deal there will be not shortage of offers for a player the Gunner surely cannot afford to lose.
