Cazorla Reveals His Favourite Arsenal Team-mate

Santi Cazorla has revealed that Alexis Sanchez is his favourite Arsenal team-mate and says he thinks the Chile international is one of the best players in the world.

Sanchez has once again been inspirational for the Gunners this season, leading the club’s scoring charts with five goals and helping them into third in the table, just two points off the top.

The 27-year-old has enjoyed terrorising Premier League defences since moving to England from Barcelona and when Cazorla was asked who his favourite team-mate was, he was quick to respond.

“Alexis Sanchez because he is one of the best players in the world,” he told the Bleacher Report.

“He is great player he has a great mentality. He wants to improve every day. He is a great example for the young players.”

Cazorla also revealed that the trophy he most wanted to win with Arsenal was the Champions League and also revealed the one person in the world he’d always wanted to meet.

“Diego Maradona,” he explained. “For me he is one of the best players in the history of the world. I  would like to meet him and speak with him about football.”

Cazorla’s choice is likely to provoke very few arguments among Arsenal fans who have taken Sanchez to their hearts thanks to his tenacity, superb goalscoring record and versatility.

Of course the only concern regarding Sanchez remains his failure to so far agree a new contract. The Chilean’s current deal expires in 2018 and all at the club will be hoping his future can be secured as soon as possible.
