Icardi Agent Speaks Out Amid Arsenal Speculation

Inter captain Mauro Icardi’s agent has spoken out about the striker’s future after he was once again linked with a move to Arsenal after a turbulent spell at the Serie A side.

The 23-year-old has been forced to apologise to Inter fans after infuriating a section of the club’s support for claims made in his autobiography.

During Sunday’s defeat to Cagliari banners were displayed insisting Icardi was finished at the club while there were also cheers when he missed a penalty.

Inter have also confirmed the striker sanctioned for his comments in his autobiography all of which has prompted speculation he could be set to leave San Siro with Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain linked.

However, his wife Wanda, who also works as his agent, has insisted the striker will not be leaving Inter and wants to stay at San Siro.

“Absolutely not,” she told according to talkSPORT when asked if her husband would leave Inter.

“He has just renewed his contract for five years, which includes a termination clause of €110m for foreign teams.

“There have been offers from other clubs, but Inter conducted themselves in an incredible way with Mauro. He has always worked hard to stay at the club.”

Icardi’s turbulent relationship with Inter’s ultras means it was little surprise to see his name once again linked with Arsenal after recent events.

However, despite sanctioning the Argentine his club appears to have given him their full backing after confirming he will continue as captain, despite the recent controversy. Icardi also only extended his current deal earlier this month which all points to him remaining in Milan.
