Midfielder Hands Arsenal Major Injury Boost

Aaron Ramsey has given Arsenal a major injury boost ahead of their EFL Cup tie against Reading on Tuesday.

The Wales international took to Instagram to send a message regarding his possible return and recovery from injury. The 25-year-old revealed that he is “itching” to get back on the pitch after a long absence due to an injured hamstring.

Itching to get back out there for both club & country. Thanks for all the support

“Itching to get back out there for both club & country,” Aaron wrote on Instagram. “Thanks for all the support.”

Ramsey encountered the muscular injury while playing in Arsenal’s opening match defeat against Liverpool. He has been in recovery since and Arsene Wenger has taken great precautions when it comes to the midfielder evading risks of prolonged absence from the pitch.

However, speaking ahead of the Premier League match against Middlesbrough, Wenger disclosed the possibility of having Ramsey available for Sunderland tie this Saturday while also confirming his unavailability for Tuesday.

Although Santi Cazorla is expected back and so is Olivier Giroud, Ramsey’s return will kick Arsenal into a completely different gear.

The Welshman was vital to Arsenal’s form last season and is missed in matches like the one against Middlesbrough over the weekend when fresh creativity is needed to land the full three points.

Due to the draw, the Gunners lost the chance to go top in the Premier League over the weekend but the return of these players will definitely help Wenger find a solution against another compact defence in the future.
