Arsenal’s Football Is Breathtaking, Admits Spurs Defender

Arsenal’s __football is breathtaking to watch at times and Arsene Wenger would do wonders as England manager, says Tottenham defender Danny Rose.

The full-back is currently on international duty with the Three Lions and has put his club’s rivalry aside to discuss the Gunners. Wenger has been linked with becoming the new England boss and Rose feels he would do a great job.

“I’d welcome whoever is being linked with the job. What he’s done for Arsenal over the last 20 years has been brilliant, the __football that Arsenal play is breathtaking to watch at times,” he told Standard Sport.

“If he was to ever become manager of England that could certainly do wonders for the country. It would be great to have a manager like him with all the experience he has got. I’d be all for that.”

Rose also insists that he would not find it difficult to work with Wenger, despite his side’s rivalry with the Gunners.

“No, I wouldn’t find it strange. I’m a football fan more than anything,” he explained. “There are Arsenal players in the England camp, it doesn’t mean that I don’t speak to them.

“My best friend in football is Danny Welbeck and he plays for Arsenal so just because Arsene Wenger has been manager of Arsenal, it wouldn’t bother me in the slightest. It’s about having the best man for the job.”

While Rose might welcome Wenger to England, the chances of him moving onto the international scene are far from certain. The Frenchman has indicated a degree of interest in the job although he continues to reiterate that for now his priority is with the Gunners.
