Big Blow: Arsenal Star Midfielder Sidelined Until November

Aaron Ramsey will definitely miss out on Arsenal’s upcoming Champions League tie against Ludogorets Razgrad in the midweek as Arsene Wenger looks to prolong his return in order to avoid further injury setbacks.

The Welshman has been out of action since suffering from a hamstring injury in the opening match of the season against Liverpool. He has since been in recovery for the past two months and recently made a return to full training.

The 25-year-old was scheduled to be available for the match against Ludogorets, however Wenger thinks he needs a few more weeks before returning to action.

“I must say I’m disappointed because he has worked very hard,” Wenger said while sharing his frustration over delays in the midfielder’s return (via Arsenal.com).

“He’s at the last stage of building up his fitness and he’s not far away.”

The Frenchman also commented on chances of Ramsey featuring against the Bulgarian champions suggesting it is better if he sits this one out.

“Next week will come too early,” added Wenger.

“It’s a bit of a vicious circle. He had a little setback, so we rested him. The longer that lasts, the more time you have to dedicate to build up his fitness again because he has been out for four weeks.

“Then you have to basically create a new three-week preparation to get him up to the level he was at before the injury.

“It’s more the time it takes to rebuild his fitness. We have decided that we’ll give him a complete pre-season, even if he misses one or two more games.”

The Wales international made 31 Premier League appearances for the Gunners, scoring five goals and four assists last season.

He is now expected to return in November when Arsenal will face the tough task games against Tottenham, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain early next month.
