Defender Dropped As Midfield Duo To Continue – The Predicted Lineup

Fresh after hammering Ludogorets Razgrad 6-0 on Wednesday night, Arsenal welcome Middlesbrough to Emirates Stadium as they look to continue their impressive run in the Premier League.

Arsene Wenger will be without Granit Xhaka as confirmed in the team news, while Santi Cazorla looks set to be fit despite initial concerns. There are no new players set to come back in, while no new injury concerns which makes the bosses job rather straight forward.

The Gunners do have a EFL Cup tie on the horizon, but Wenger will almost certainly look to heavily rotate for that match against Reading with the Premier League the main focus.

Here’s how we think Arsenal will line up:

LONDON, ENGLAND - OCTOBER 15: (L-R) Arsenal

GK) Petr Cech

Despite David Ospina’s impressive display in midweek, the Czech ‘keeper will return between the sticks.

RB) Hector Bellerin

The Spaniard will certainly start once more with a weeks rest ahead for him.

CB) Laurent Koscielny

It was business as usual in midweek with another cleansheet under the belt for Laurent Koscielny and co. The Frenchman was particularly impressive with some well timed interceptions, but the back four cannot afford complacency this weekend.

CB) Shkodran Mustafi

Shkodran Mustafi will certainly partner Koscielny in the heart of the defence once again. The duo did have a couple of dodgy moments on Wednesday night which could have caused some blushes, but thanks to Ospina a cleansheet was safe. Still some room for improvement in their communication.

LB) Nacho Monreal

Fresh off a rest against Ludogorets, Monreal will likely be welcomed back.
