Walcott got in on the act too, scoring four minutes before the interval.

And the England international claims Wenger’s insistence at half-time on pushing for more goals was just what the side needed so they didn’t become too complacent.

“We always want to take our chances,” Walcott told BT Sport.

“We managed to take most of them well. We needed to start the second half strongly.
