The Clarets are undefeated at home ever since winning 2-0 against Liverpool in August. They then drew 1-1 against Hull and won 2-0 against Watford last week. Dyche opted for a 4-4-2 formation initially changing it to 4-5-1 when they played Leicester. The formation didn’t work out for Burnley as they lost 3-0 to the defending champions but due to Andre Gray’s suspension the manager stuck to the formation last week and is expect to continue with the same against the North London outfit.

Head-to-Head

Burnley have never won against Arsenal in all of their meetings in the past 42 years in the league. The Gunners hold an undefeated record with 3 wins and 1 draw in the four matches and Sean Dyche will hope to finally end their dominance.

Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has scored three goals against the Clarets in the past three appearances and will look to continue posing a threat to the host side.

Team News

Dyche’s side will be without striker Ashley Barnes who is out due to a hamstring injury and Andre Gray continues his suspension period for the second game out of a total of four. However, midfielder Steven Defour and striker Sam Vokes are both available for the match.

Out: Barnes

Suspended: Andre Gray

Threat

The main danger for Arsenal comes in the form of Steven Defour as the holding midfielder turned attacking playmaker is known for his powerful forward runs and ability to create chances from set-pieces. This combined with a solid defensive line means Burnley will not be an easy opponent for the Gunners.

Weakness

While Burnley’s defence is strong when they hold their positions, they are prone to getting distracted with their eagerness to score goals and move forward. Arsenal can be on the look-out for these opportunities and attack whenever there is space. Our pace and strong counter-attacking forward line can do the business today.
