For a few years there, Serge Gnabry looked as though he was going to be the next big thing at Arsenal.
But unfortunately for the young German, injuries stalled his progress, and after a strange loan move away to West Brom didn't work out, he was unable to break back into Arsene Wenger's team.
He left for Werder Bremen in the summer, and it is safe to say that he's never looked back.
The 21-year-old was a star in the Germany team which reached the final of the Olympic Games in Brazil in the summer, and after impressive form for Bremen he was given a debut for the senior international side on Friday night.
He responded by scoring a hat-trick.
Now it was only against San Marino, and Germany won 8-0, but that didn't stop Arsenal fans on Twitter from lamenting the fact that Gnabry isn't a Gooner any more.
Bring back our gnabry

This kid is better than Walcott and Oxlade combined as to why he got sold I can never tell you.
Why did we sell Gnabry??? #serge

People dismissing Gnabry scoring a hat trick because its only San Marino, don't see Ox scoring hat tricks for his country, know who I'd have

Massive L from Arsenal selling Gnabry. We're going to regret that.

I'm not one to mourn over sold players but Gnabry starting for Germany already says a lot :(

Any sign of that buy-back clause Arsene? https://t.co/igivwkkaoQ
The decision the sell Gnabry might be one which comes back to haunt Wenger eventually, although three goals against San Marino don't really change much, do they?
Do they?
Oh yeah, these are Arsenal fans on Twitter we're talking about here aren't we?
