Sanchez Wanted By Inter As Part Of Massive Overhaul

Inter want to bring Alexis Sanchez to San Siro as they plan a massive squad overhaul in the summer, according to Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The Nerazzurri are enduring another difficult season and recently replaced coach Frank de Boer with Stefano Pioli – their ninth coach in just six years.

The Milan side are currently struggling in Serie A, sitting 12th in the table and have already been knocked out of the Europa League, ahead of the last round of fixtures.

However, the club are planning a big spending spree in the summer and want to bring in some star quality in attack, with Sanchez in their sights.

The club hope they can tempt the Chile international back to Serie A, with the forward yet to extend his current Arsenal deal which expires in 2018.

Sanchez spent five years in Italy with Udinese before moving to Barcelona and appears to be at something of a stand-off with Arsenal with reports claiming he wants £250,000-per-week-to stay.

The forward had yet to make his intentions public but Wenger hinted after Sunday’s win over Bournemouth that the club were willing to spend big to keep him.

Inter are also reportedly planning on bringing in further reinforcements particularly in defence and midfield as they seek to turn the club back into title challengers.

Serie A rivals Juventus have previously been linked with a move for Sanchez with Manchester City also believed to be interested, and speculation has also linked the 27-year-old with a lucrative move to China.

Sanchez already has 10 goals this season and is again in red-hot form, and Arsenal’s chances of success are undoubtedly hugely dependent on him staying at the Emirates.

However, with the Chilean banging in the goals and his new contract still unsigned, speculation over his future looks set to continue.
