Olivier Giroud is reportedly set to have showdown talks with Arsene Wenger over his Arsenal future.
The France striker has only started one match for the Gunners in the opening three months of the season, with injuries coupled with Alexis Sanchez's promising performances as Arsenal's loan striker limiting his first-team chances.
The Daily Star claim Giroud, 30, wants assurances about his long-term place within the team.
Giroud had scored three goals in two games going into Sunday's North London derby draw with Spurs but again had to settle for a place on the bench.
“I had hoped to play against Spurs because I’d had two good games," Giroud said. "I was a little bit disappointed, but I’m not the sort of person to just give up."
Arsenal hope Sanchez will return
Alexis Sanchez could return to Arsenal early after his injury scare, writes John Cross.
Gunners striker Sanchez suffered a calf problem while in training with Chile and will sit out their first game with Colombia.
Sanchez's injury will be assessed and depending on the result they may allow him to fly back to London before their game with Uruguay next Tuesday.
Chile FA officials insist the injury is not serious and they believe he has a chance to play in the second game.
Arsenal have been in touch and would be reluctant to take any chances.
They are hoping he will be OK to face Manchester United on Saturday week.
Cech: We have title-winning strength
Petr Cech insists Arsenal now have the strength in depth to win the league, writes Adrian Kajumba.
The Gunners came up short last season, pipping enemies Tottenham on the final day to finish as runners-up.
But the summer additions of Granit Xhaka, Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez have helped convince Cech that this could be Arsenal's year.
Goalkeeper Cech said: "When we were unlucky with long-term injuries last season, we had to use the same players in so many games and you lack energy in certain parts of the season.
"We dropped points because we couldn't rotate. This season we have strength in depth, you could see in the Champions League and domestic cup [games] and for the Premier League we keep using different players or can use the same players.
"The league is very competitive but I think we are one of the teams who has all the qualities to compete for the title and we know that."
Bellerin withdraws from Spain U21 squad
Arsenal have been handed a fresh injury scare after Hector Bellerin pulled out of Spain's Under-21 squad, writes Aaron Flanagan.
The official Twitter account of Spain's national team posted on Wednesday afternoon that Bellerin had been replaced by Sunderland's loan full-back Javier Manquillo.
Bellerin was unable to finish training on Tuesday and has since been removed from the squad.
It is a second injury blow in just 24 hours for Arsenal, who are now also sweating on the fitness of Alexis Sanchez after he suffered a "low-grade muscle tear" in Chile training.
Perez criticises Reading defender
Lucas Perez has criticised the tackle which has left him missing up to two months of Arsenal action, writes Aaron Flanagan.
Spaniard Perez, a £17m summer signing from Deportivo La Coruna, limped out of the EFL Cup clash with Reading last month.
Reading defender Danzell Gravenberch's challenge has left Perez on the sidelines but he is targeting a return in the near future.
He claims that he is disappointed with the setback - but says that has questioned the motives behind Gravenberch's tackle.
“The injury is a shame, but we have to fight," he said in Marca. "I didn’t understand where the player was going with the tackle, but these are just occupational hazards.”
