ARSENE WENGER has claimed Arsenal beat Bournemouth because they found another level to their game in the second-half.
Arsenal took an early lead against Bournemouth after Alexis Sanchez latched onto a poor back-pass from Steve Cook.
Eddie Howe's side then levelled things up before half-time thanks to a penalty from Callum Wilson.
However, the Gunners pushed on in the second-half with goals from Theo Walcott and Sanchez.

"Yes overall [in the second-half] I think we got better during the game but Bournemouth played well," Wenger told Sky Sports.
"They started with high intensity… physicality… and I saw and thought they would drop a little bit in the second-half.

"We were unlucky because the penalty for them was another questionable one and after that we had to improve our level in the second-had which we did."
And Wenger was also glad to see his players pick themselves up despite a disappointing 2-2 draw with Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League midweek.
"In patches yes [fluency was back]," Wenger added.
