Roma and Galatasaray are reportedly interested in signing Mathieu Debuchy in January. The Frenchman has fallen out of favour at the Emirates and has been linked with a move away from the club for a long time (via Goal.com).
Mathieu Debuchy seems a long way away from the Arsenal first team right now, even with the injury to Hector Bellerin, and it seems that a number of clubs are interested in signing the full-back.
The Frenchman has barely played in the last couple of seasons, making just two Premier League appearances since the start of last season. Debuchy spent some of last season on loan at Bordeaux after falling out of favour at the Emirates.
Debuchy was signed as a first player but the injury problems suffered by the former Newcastle man gave Hector Bellerin a chance in the team and Spaniard hasn’t disappointed. Now Debuchy is the third choice at the club and a number of teams are interested in saving the player.
Galatasaray and Italian giants Roma are top of the list with both sides interested in saving the player from his exodus.
It makes sense for Debuchy to leave the club. Even when Hector Bellerin returns to fitness next month, the Frenchman will still be behind Carl Jenkinson in the pecking order. Debuchy is a former French international and has been very unfortunate with injuries during his time at Arsenal.
