MESUT OZIL appears to have snubbed interest from Manchester United to sign a new Arsenal contract - after reportedly buying a £10million house in London.

Arsene Wenger is hoping Arsenal can convince Ozil and Alexis Sanchez, who also has two years left to run on his contract, to commit their futures to the club.
And Wenger may have succeeded with Ozil after reports emerged claiming the 28-year-old had bought a home in the capital.

A local resident told The Sun: “I heard from another neighbour that he’s definitely moving in.
“But he’s been living here for years, and I’ve seen him around.
“Someone told me they do that normally when footballers sign a contract with the club, they go from renting to buying. So it could be good news for Arsenal.
“I am not a football fan but we are used to seeing players around here – it seems to attract them.

“We know the people in the house have sold and have moved out so he should in any day now.

Ozil has scored seven goals in 14 games for Arsenal this season.
