Arsenal boost as midfielder is declared fit for West Ham clash

Mathieu Flamini has been out injured for quite some time, but could return for our Premier League clash with West Ham this weekend, as reported on ‘s official website.

The Frenchman has found his place usurped by Francis Coquelin since the new year, and will surely only be on the bench – if he’s included at all.

It is still a bonus to have him available as an option however, as his young compatriot will no doubt need a rest at some point.

Arsene Wenger didn’t reveal whether he would actually feature against the Hammers, but did confirm that he is back in full training.

“Mathieu is training, he could be available for the squad on Saturday,” he said.

Whenever we seem to be getting over our injuries, another glut come along. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is the most recent casualty, suffering a hamstring injury during our 2-1 FA Cup win over Manchester United.

Let’s hope we can remain relatively injury free for the remainder of the season, as we continue our push on three fronts.
