Arsene Wenger has ruled Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere out of England’s two international games later this month.
:
Despite no fresh injury worries for the England international, Arsene Wenger has said in his pre-West Ham press conference that Wilshere will not be ready in time for the game with Lithuania on March 27th.
This latest news also casts doubts over the Wilshere’s general fitness and availability for Arsenal in the coming weeks despite Wenger’s insistence that Wilshere would be out for ” when he underwent a minor ankle operation to remove “button” on his ankle late last month.
This declaration is particularly concerning given there has been no update on Wilshere’s fitness since February 27th and no new problem reported.
Speaking at his pre-West Ham press conference, Wenger said via : “I don’t know how long it will be before he returns because we have to respect the progression of his training. The international break will come too soon for him.”
Wilshere was previously ruled out for two-and-a-half months following a challenge from Manchester United defender Paddy McNair during our 2-1 loss at the Emirates.
The 23-year-old went under the knife then too before returning to the squad sheet for the recent trip to Crystal Palace where he was an unused substitute.
