Arsenal 1-1 Tottenham player ratings: Who was YOUR man of the match in the North London derby?

A feisty North London derby ended all square at the Emirates Stadium, thanks to a second half penalty from Harry Kane.

An own goal from Kevin Wimmer had handed Arsenal the lead, and the Gunners should have perhaps made more of the opportunities they created before the break.

But Spurs were rejuvenated in the second half and when Lauren Koscielny brought down Mousa Dembele in the penalty area, Kane made no mistake from the Spot.

Christian Eriksen was denied by a fine save from Petr Cech, before the Dane also swung a freekick against a post, as Spurs went closest to grabbing victory.

So who impressed? Who failed to make an impact? And who was simply a cut above the rest?

Here's our man John Cross with his player ratings from the Emirates:

Arsenal

Petr Cech 7

Made a brilliant save from Eriksen but his slip nearly let in Son.

Hector Bellerin 8

Good pace going forward and it also helped him make heroic blocks.

Shkodran Mustafi 5

Had a very shaky start, looked all over the place, didn't inspire confidence.

Laurent Koscielny 6

Booked. Looked solid enough and was the better of the two centre halves, but did give away the penalty.

Nacho Monreal 7

Superb goal saving block to deny Kane, much better defensive performance.

Francis Coquelin 7

Very committed performance, unlucky to be subbed, good all round display.

Granit Xhaka 8

He was strong in midfield, tired towards the end but his best performance to date.

Xhaka vs Dembele was a good battle

Theo Walcott 7

Smashed a shot against the woodwork and his pace troubled Tottenham.

Mesut Ozil 8

Supplied the free kick for Arsenal’s goal, nice moments but tired towards the end.

Alex Iwobi 5

Wasted a great first half chance, struggling for confidence and maybe needs a rest.

Alexis Sanchez 7

Looked lively at times but Tottenham’s defence kept him relatively quiet.
